Why Ceneo exists
Ceneo is one of the original PrideChess royals. Its movement is deliberately directional, so advancing and retreating create different strategic problems.
The name is inspired by Caeneus/Ceneo of Greek mythology, a figure associated in ancient literary tradition with transformation of sex or gender. The PrideChess Ceneo is an original royal within PrideChess canon, not a literal reconstruction of the mythological figure.
